I’m with you on that! I just saw a commercial last night for another episode. I can’t believe it’s been canceled already. And I really liked Tru Calling. Poor Eliza:(

Because ratings have gone down, from the first season. So even though it is a great show and has a cult like following it is going off the air.
Hopefully Eliza and Joss can work together again soon.

Because the ratings were beyond godawful. They started out bad and the show lost hundreds of thousands of viewers every week. By the end, Fox probably lost money keeping the show on the air. The execs are also probably tired of the death threats from the fans. The show started out with around 5 millions viewers and is now down to around 2 million. Reruns get better ratings.

This is because the Fox executives have no business running a network. They also seem to hate Joss Whedon and Tim Minear, since they also canceled Firefly, after deliberately sabotaging it by showing it out of order on a horrible night. No show does well on Friday night other than X Files, and that was years ago. Fox has a history of canceling good shows and letting horrible ones stay on LONG after they have ceased to be good. King Of the Hill lasted forever because it followed The Simpsons, yet Futurama failed because it was placed before The Simpsons, when it would often be preempted by football. If Dollhouse was on the same night as House or Bones, then it would still be on, and getting good ratings. Joss would be better served to avoid the studio system and keep making shows on his own, like Dr. Horrible.
